我和老公这几天在一天里面讲这两句话讲了很多遍：
I'm Malaysian. I'm Malaysian Chinese.
而且是不厌其烦的重复着，也预见未来的２０天还会重复着。
因为讲的是华语，韩国人都把我们当作了中国人。本来想说，没关系他们不懂华语，所以听不出口音上的差别，粤语有一句话说［不知者不罪］嘛，而且被当成中国人也没什么关系啊。
可是，后来我们购买了一张国际电话卡，却怎样都用不了，然后到韩国观光公社询问要如何用此电话卡播电回马来西亚，亲切的服务人员跟我们说这张卡没办法播回马来西亚，因为这张卡只限于播电到中国。就这样，一张电话卡的钱就这样不知何故的亏掉。
经过这些，我不尽疑惑，马来西亚人和马来西亚华人在国际上的定位到底在那里？我跟几位洋人、中国和韩国的背包客聊天，我很惊讶的发现，他们竟然不懂马来西亚是个多元种族的国家，我们可以讲多种语言。
很个人的觉得，马来西亚华人必须摆脱现有无理无谓，对某个族群的所谓保护措施，不然我们要在国际上被广泛的认识真的是就像是看不到的岸，靠不了的岸。

grumpy : It is complicated and sensitive when comes to race issue in Malaysia. And, if you are interested on what happened for those Malaysian Chinese and Indian in Malaysia, you could visit some of the interesting webiste which talk about politics... And, for myself, i mean only for myself not represents others, feel really tired, dissappointed and frustrated about the current political situation, rules and regulation which in favour of certain races. Suffer and upset comes together and hence give up. |

Viv : It is entirely different from HK.And there is no other inherent reason.And the reason also very simple, Malaysian can be Chinese or Malay or Indian or other races...Therefore, we normally will descr... Point noted. However, your explanation contradicts the last paragraph of your article. If you really want to eradicte the race-oriented national policy in Malaysia favouring Malays, wouldn't it be more appropriate to advocate ALL Malaysians irrespective of race and creed to be Malaysians and not Indigenous Malaysians, Malaysian Indians, Malaysian Chinese and what have you. |
